Christian Haiku Notebook

Bible Scriptures and Thoughts as Haiku Poem Form

Christian haiku poems, are bite sized quotes and sound bites. They are Christian themed poems, many are Bible scriptures and other thoughts expressed in the Haiku form.

For latest updates see 'Notebook'

The Haiku poem has 5 syllables, 7 syllables and 5 ending syllables, the last 5 syllable are usually a juxtaposition of the previous two lines.

  • No bible bashing,
  • Christianise, prayers on your knees,
  • just God’s love that frees.

We can be found on Twitter and Spotify, the latter we are testing with Vlogging and having a laugh with that. T

I pray in Christs stead
you be reconciled to God
as a child of God
James 1:22
Why not jump in too? Got a prayer or a word, that you want to share?

Lord, my healing God,
I needed a miracle,
and you have healed me.
(based on Psalm 30:2)

Some verses from Isaiah, the language is beautifully written in places and this is one of those areas.

Drop down you heavens,
from above and let the skies,
pour down righteousness.

Let the earth open,
let it bring forth salvation;
let righteousness grow.
Isaiah 45:8

  • And the things you’ve heard,
  • from me among witnesses,
  • spread to teach others.
  • 2 Tim 2:2
  •
  • Psalms
  • The Lord is my light,
  • and he is my salvation
  • so, whom shall I fear.
  • Ps 27.1

Like talking, learn to speak

There's no easy wins, just care and preparation, makes a real good start. You can speak it out, or write in a greeting card, or just enjoy it. You will always find, a good reason to reach out, one way or other.

I 've found singing them, helps develop the rhythm, and to find the song.  Writing ideas, for the Haiku poem free, is so essential. Sometimes it will mean breaking the Haiku format, to try and test it.

Let the Lord find you,
He'll show you his loving grace,
and deep Shalom peace.

No empty rituals,
with no vain repetitions,
just Gods love and grace.

We have added recently add a verse from Philippians that has been shared on both our Twitter and Instagram accounts. And this this found in the Notebook section

Planting seeds

We can all plant the seed,  of Gods' word in peoples lives, and also water. We have a duty, to care and be watering,  those young seedlings.

Paul said he waters,
one plants and another waters,
each must do their part.

The use of poems, makes the verse and its essence, good to remember. The common Haiku structure will flag if something is missing, as the juxtaposition last line is the hook.
“It's what you make it,
so keep it fun and simple,
build and they will come.”

Myself

God is full of grace,
and sees us through Jesus specs;
a lens that's grace filled

Can we help?

Sponsor a haiku,
to say something to others,
what they mean to you.
Let me have a thing, I'm sure I could write something, given half a chance.
